COSD, which stands for Cambodia Organization for Social Development, is a registered NGO; we believe education is the key to unlocking a world of opportunity, especially for underprivileged students in our community. We offer free English classes, empowering them with the language skills they need to thrive. But more than just words, we provide hope, confidence, and a path toward a brighter future.

Regardless of circumstance, every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Therefore, we offer the highest quality free education to children from families living below the poverty line.

What we do to achieve our Goals

Providing FREE educations to kids in the community

Free education at COSD School is more than just access to knowledge; it’s a holistic approach to nurturing responsible, contributing members of society. We believe in the power of education to break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for generations to come.

Providing scholarship to kids from underprivilege background

We believe in investing in potential, not finances, and our scholarships come in two key forms:

1. Full-Tuition Scholarships: We offer full-tuition scholarships for families demonstrably facing extreme financial hardship. These scholarships cover all academic expenses, such as books, uniforms, and school supplies. This allows children to fully immerse themselves in their education without burdening their families.

2. Needs-Based Scholarships: At COSD School, we are committed to providing a holistic education that addresses the diverse needs of our students. Our needs-based scholarships are a testament to this commitment. They offer partial financial support, helping families cover specific expenses like transportation or extracurricular activities. We firmly believe that education is a powerful tool that can break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for generations to come.

Building a strong community together

An initiative to change the view of education among the older generation is also being taken. Our school holds regular meetings with community members to discuss Khmer history and the importance of reeducating the population. Through these motivational speeches, we hope to create awareness and understanding surrounding the benefits of education for all.
